Boolean searches are advanced searches that allow you to include or exclude specific terms from your results. This can be helpful if you want to find results that are exactly what you're looking for—and nothing else.

For example, let's say you want to find articles about sales strategies written by Jeff Hoffman. You could use the following boolean search: "sales strategies" AND "Jeff Hoffman." This would return results that include both of those terms—and nothing else.

If you want to get even more specific, you can use quotation marks around terms that require an exact match. So, if we wanted to find an article titled "The 10 Sales Strategies That Will Help You Close More Deals," we could use the following boolean search: "The 10 Sales Strategies That Will Help You Close More Deals" AND "Jeff Hoffman."

LinkedIn search also allows you to use the OR operator to find results that include one term or another. So, if we wanted to find articles about sales strategies written by either Jeff Hoffman or John Barrows, we could use the following boolean search: "sales strategies" AND ("Jeff Hoffman" OR "John Barrows").

Saving Searches

Once you've performed a search and found some relevant results, you can save that search for future use. This is helpful if you want to keep track of specific topics or keywords. To save a search, click on the "Save this Search" link at the top of the results page. From there, you can give your search a name and choose how often you want to receive email updates about new results.

You can access your saved searches by clicking on the "Saved" link next to the search bar. You'll see a list of your saved searches from there. You can click on any of them to rerun the search and see new results.

LinkedIn also offers several search operators that you can use to find more specific results. These operators allow you to search for particular types of content, people, or companies.

For example, if you want to find articles about sales strategies written by Jeff Hoffman, you could use the following search operator: site:linkedin.com inurl: authors Jeff Hoffman "sales strategies." This would return results that match those criteria—and nothing else.
